Hi Anne – thank you for your 8/25 video. I am planning my first visit in April and as a avid coral-snorkeler, I am keen to try to find a place to see the beautiful coral of the Great Barrier Reef. A friend of mine recommended Hyman Island, but I can’t find any updates on the state of their coral. Do you know of a source?
Regarding Lizard, can you tell me if the recovered parts of the reef are easily accessible from the hotel at Lizard Island? Do we need a boat to access or can we swim to them from the shore?
Thank you for your time and your commitment to the environment.
Thanks Larry, replied offline. – Anne Hoggett
